At the end of October, starting from October 31 to November 8, Cēsis Autumn Restaurant week will take place in Cēsis for the third year in a row. Cēsis and city guests will have a great opportunity to enjoy exquisite dishes at especially friendly prices. Gourmets will be invited to have a meal by 6 popular restaurants in Cesis and the surrounding area.
With light and joyful TaDaa! street art festival we first got acquainted last year, when it traveled to Cesis as part of the Baltic tour. We are pleased to announce that this year, on September 12, a special edition of the festival will take place in Cēsis in a compact one-day program with participants from the Baltic States.
Cesis 814th anniversary celebration this year became special also because of it’s culmination. For the first time was illuminated the facade of St. John’s church. Also in this weekend church will shine with colourful lights.

With a series of program about creative artists from Cēsis, which can be watched both on online and on television, Cēsis begins work on its biggest event of the year – “Cēsis 814” – which on July 18, 2020 will become the first virtual city festival in Latvia.
From July, the visitor center of Archaeological Park Araiši will host an unique exposition, in which, for the first time since the excavations, the original evidence will be shown and the story of archaeologist Jānis Apals will be introduced.
In the Cēsis Castle is an unique exhibition for Latvia available “Multimedia story of Cēsis castle”, which invites the visitors to experience amazing multimedia story about Cēsis Castle, by reliving the most important historical events and feel the ancient atmosphere.
Pleasant news for Cesis guests and inhabitants has been prepared by the Cesis Castle complex. From June 10, the entire exposition of the Cēsis History and Art Museum will be opened, including the Lademaher Tower. The medieval castle activity area and craftsmen’s workshops will also start working.
The Cēsis Tourism Information Center will be opened from 10.00 to 18.00 on June 22 on the Victory Day of Latvia. The tourism information center will be closed on Midsummer’s Days on 23rd un 24th of June.
